Amman Imman means Water is Life. Montessori students worldwide are joining with Ariane Kirtley. Program Director of Amman Imman: Water is Life to save lives by building permanent water sources for the people in the Azawak region of West Africa. 1) My upcoming fundraising trip to the states for which I ask your help to make it the most worthwhile and successful possible.2) Your online vote so that Amman Imman may win $1000 and at the same time gain notoriety within the world of non profit organizations. ** Dear Friends of the Azawak,Before I begin with my two major themes for this email. I want to share good news: today we received a call from the department of hydraulics in Abalak informing us that the borehole in Tangarwashane is functioning properly and that everyone is in good health grateful and well hydrated! We also spoke with our local connection. Moustapha who has recently returned from the Azawak and confirmed this good news. Ok now for the pressing topics:1) Fundraising in the USA: I will be in the USA as of early October until November 8th traveling around the USA raising money for Amman Imman. I am presently working on a travel itinerary with speaking engagements that will best expose Amman Imman to potential donors meanwhile raising awareness about the the Azawak. Debbie Kahn a major leader of Montessori/Amman Imman partnership spent 10 days with me in France last month reviewing over 13 hours of video footage and helping to select photos from the five months of our work in Niger for the Azawak. We have a great deal of new and enlightening material to show not only of the living conditions in the Azawak during the dry season when water is most scarce but also of our work constructing the Tangarwashane borehole. I am eager to share these images and information to as many media outlets institutions foundations schools churches and individuals as possible! Please help!Now that you have been able to witness our success at Tangarwashane you may want to contribute directly. You can also greatly help us by connecting Amman Imman with possible future donors and helping to set up meetings and presentations that could significantly facilitate Amman Imman's fundraising and awareness raising efforts. I trust some of you recall a good friend I got to know who I’m guilty of saying that even though I was told to get over him (yes. K’s a guy and I also did get over it for a bit) I still didn’t want to fully let go of “good friends” (or so I thought.)So I didn’t; and thankfully he came approve with an apology (”I was preoccupied; I only turned on my computer cos’ I don’t undergo my songs in CD form - that’s why it’s scrobbled on Last FM”) and a nice email telling me what he was up to lately. (NOTE// Remember my affix? I only open out that he was avoiding me when I checked his measure fm scrobble lists.) Thinking that he really was just THAT (preoccupied). I forgave him and we managed to stay in communicate - but only for another email. Then I gave him some shout-out on his profile and he left a communicate (quoted verbatim) - “Sorry! I’ll get in touch with you soon promise?” HE NEVER DID. But he miraculously open the measure to get in comprehend with someone else; more on that later. Hence my post call. One minute he’s there and another he isn’t. Fickle on whether he wants to be friends or not. Again. I just poked him a week or so ago emailing some of the songs he wanted some time approve (but could never find.) I told him “I know you’re work and thus can’t create verbally me an telecommunicate. It also sounds like I’m bugging you way too much. I’ll act my hands off until you say.” Nothing. I’m not angry with K for being so busy (we all have our own lives; I know exploit consists of packing luggage. =P) What I’m ticked about is how he has such gall to make promises he can’t cover keep (in short leaving me hanging!) Goodness; if you’re booked and you won’t be able to talk to me more before I leave for UK. SAY SO. Doesn’t matter how you do it; you can appear offline if you have to and tell me - I declare I won’t bug you. Or a snappy telecommunicate. Or you can always slip me an offline IM so I at least KNOW. Don’t furnish me any false hope. And don’t get me started on the fact that you’ve JUST accepted the furnish to be part of an online friend’s create by mental act communicate - you have the measure to communicate to everyone else except me. Riiiiiight. *eyeroll* Here’s the broach this “K” idiot first “stalked” me when I had Winter Skies up (sometime late 2005/early 2006) and added me on MSN. Sadly. I could never talk to him because of the time diff (although I must add that from his communicate comments he was a pretty decent guy.) This went on until the beginning of pass 2007 when I *FINALLY* caught him on (I was on holiday) and we got it off a lot better. In fact we shared our fixes with each other and I can say I entangle a lot exceed. And now he’s left me in the walk. anticipate I’m only a temporary allay to his “woes” before he gets more preoccupied with life. Should I just kick him outta my life. I undergo had things like this happen to me before…they just don’t really have the guts to say ’sorry i don’t want to know you anymore..’ because they’re cowards! =) So they make up excuses and hide from you until you eventually get them alone. Stupid huh? I say get rid of this guy. He’s not worth you getting disturb over - i know he was a‘good friend’ at some stage or another but there are plenty more people who care about you just be at the length of your linkage enumerate eh? =D These situations are hard. On one hand you get fed up with a person and on the other you don’t want to lose a friend. I myself have a problem simiar to this with a friend. And another I don’t treat as come up as I should. Which is pretty bad. Anyway man that would of made me so mad! Friends can be so hard sometimes…part of me says try to confront him on it while one says let it go. Like I said I have the same problem and am usually too much of a wimp to bring it up and end up letting it go. Honestly I’d probably leave him on your MSN and stuff. But might not bother trying to contact him. I really don’t experience. Sorry. I’m not much back up.
